Business In The New Environment

This workshop examines long-range environmental, health and safety challenges and presents cutting edge tools and techniques. Participants will improve their ability develop powerful competitive strategies that improve both business and EH&S performance.

This workshop is now available for presentation as either a stand-alone workshop or in conjunction with your next major company EH&S or business conference.

Objectives

At the conclusion of this workshop, participants will be better able to:

  • Identify techniques to gain closure with business management on priorities, direction and resources for the future.
  • Identify emerging issues that may provide competitive threats or opportunities for their company or organization.
  • Organize EHS departments to meet future needs.
  • Identify emerging tools and techniques for competitive advantage.

Participants

This workshop is designed for senior EHS managers, fast track EHS professionals, and business managers wishing to obtain a more thorough, practical understanding of how business can use its EHS organization to effect change, manage risks and create new business opportunities. This is a business management and strategy workshop; a comprehensive knowledge of environmental regulatory and technical issues is not required.

Time and Resources

This workshop is modular, conducted in half-day increments. Two are illustrated: the half-day format presents the core topics and activities; and the two-day format includes many additional topics and activities, adds a business simulation exercise and allows for expanded participant discussion. A customized formats can be developed to meet your specific needs and time constraints.

The half-day format can be conducted with one leader.  Workshop formats that are one day and greater are conducted usually by two leaders.
